Hammer sees demand for Snap
Snap product range proves to be popular product for the distributor
James Ward: Hammer has seen good results for its first month of trading with the range
Storage distributor Hammer has claimed it has experienced a high amount of interest in Overland’s Snap solutions since the storage vendor acquired the product range.
Originating as an independent company, Snap has been hit by bad press as it has been passed from vendor to vendor since 1999.
Overland recently acquired the Snap Server NAS business from Adaptec, including the brand and assets related to Snap Server networked and desktop storage appliances for $3.6m (£2.2m).
The Snap NAS solution is designed to replicate from site to site, to allow SMEs to deploy appropriate sized consolidation for storage, reducing operation costs for backup.
James Ward, managing director of Hammer, said: “After Overland’s recent Snap acquisition, Hammer has had good results in its first month of trading. The range fully complements both Hammer and Overland’s storage portfolios by covering the storage sector top to bottom.”
