Security vendor tries to create UK channel strategy

Security vendor BCW Advanced Technologies is looking to establish a UK channel to push its VPN product. The firm said its Secure Planet VPN enables secure remote working and features encryption standards.

Bruce Walton, managing director of BCW, said: “Between now and Christmas we are looking to recruit 15 strong partners in the UK. Our product features the simplicity of Secure Sockets Layer technology, with added IP security, and will appeal to SMEs.”

However Ash Hussein, sales director of VAR Axial Systems, said the vendor could have its work cut out in recruiting a channel. “There are so many vendors out there. Resellers often turn down vendors because of the similarity of products. We just can’t take them all on,” he said.
