Leasing firm claims online sales aid will help resellers do more business, more quickly

Finance and leasing firm Syscap has bolstered its channel offering with the launch of an online sales aid.

Philip White, chief executive of Syscap, told CRN: “We’ve been offering finance online for five years, but Syscap Online has been developed to give VARs a competitive advantage. It offers an easy and effective way of demonstrating the real benefits of finance over cash purchase, removing a key barrier to IT investment.”

Designed to support resellers from the beginning of the sales cycle, Syscap Online creates instant quotes and generates a cash-versus-lease comparison for every proposal to illustrate the true cost of acquisitions.

White claimed that Syscap Online will allow resellers to close more business, more quickly.

A representative for rival finance and leasing company Siemens Financial Services, said: “Anything that helps SMEs utilise finance is welcomed by Siemens. We launched a similar service, ease-elease, in February 2001. This improved the efficiency of our customers’ business. Ease-elease includes a prospecting tool, which will flag up to VARs when a customer’s lease is due for renewal.”

Robin Barker, director at reseller Blueloop, said: “We’re getting more customers asking for financing. One thing that can be complicated for both us and the customer is the calculations, so an online tool that simplifies this could be beneficial.”
