Support for Kingston

Computacenter signs support contract with memory vendor

Computacenter is ensuring higher levels of support for Kingston Technology memory customers after signing a support contract with the vendor.

Customers of the reseller's maintenance services can use Kingston memory in upgrades and still be covered under the existing service level agreement.

Ann Keefe, UK sales director at Kingston Technology, said: "In the past customers might have bought original manufacturer memory because they may have had concerns about Kingston support. But customers are now guaranteed under the terms of their services agreement with Computacenter."

Mike Lancaster, services logistics manager at Computacenter, said previously Kingston did not offer enough support to be included in the reseller's services offering, but this has changed.

"Kingston has offered us an authorised support route for its products so we are more comfortable with our customers using them," he said.

"When there is a problem the customer wants to call only one company and that company is Computacenter," said Keefe.
