Fujitsu seeks VARs for mid-market push
Potential partners will gain training advantage if they work with Fujitsu on storage, vendor claims
Neath: Good margins promised
Fujitsu is on the hunt for specialist storage resellers to take its new CentricStor 800 (CS800) mid-market backup solution to market.
The vendor said it already has 50 storage resellers on board to help market the product and will focus on doubling that figure over the next six months.
Resellers with experience in healthcare, hosting, education and local government vertical markets are its main targets, said Fujitsu channel manager Darren Neath, with “good margins” and “appealing rebates” promised to those who take the bait.
He added: “The CS800’s lower price point has already helped us make great inroads into the mid-market and I anticipate that it will open up more opportunities for our partners in the future.”
Sean Haffey, storage business manager at Fujitsu UK and Ireland, said new partners should also benefit from a reduction in the training needs of their staff.
He explained: “Most of our competitors have multiple, disparate products to cater for each size of business, whereas our product architecture is identical, regardless of the size of enterprise it is aimed at, which means less training is required over time.”
