Njini uncorks first software
Start-up vendor Njini has unveiled its first data management tool, and claims the EMEA channel is "well poised" to take advantage of it.
Njini described its software as Information Asset Management because it executes business data policy and physically checks data files before backup to ensure businesses only store the right data types.
The basic engine is designed to fit in with a suite of Njini software components to address specific vertical data requirements. The vendor currently works with VAR Glasshouse to attack verticals such as finance.
Phil Tee, chairman of Njini, said: “The Njini approach is to provide a level of data intelligence into existing and proposed Information Lifecycle Management storage strategies. It’s about value of data, not volume.”
Clive Longbottom, service director at Quocirca, said: “The important thing is to identify what data is archived. It is a great value-add.”
