Coda vows to strike chord with UK partners
IT services and specialist financial software vendor Coda will double the number of its UK channel partners by the end of this year, chief executive Graham Steinsberg said last week.
IT services and specialist financial software vendor Coda will double the number of its UK channel partners by the end of this year, chief executive Graham Steinsberg said last week.
His comments followed the company's announcement of a 60 per cent increase in turnover for the financial year.
Its year ended 31 December 2000, turnover was £49.6m compared to £31m the previous year. Pre-tax profit grew from £2.6m to £4.1m.
Coda, which is now owned by IT products and services group Science Systems, provides Internet-ready financial accounting and procurement software, and has more than 2,000 customers worldwide.
"Since the acquisition of Coda from Baan nine months ago, one in three new deals in the UK have been through the channel," Steinsberg explained, adding that 20 per cent of all business deals done in the UK come from channel partners.
"We are definitely looking to increase our UK channel presence," he said. "We currently have six UK partners and are looking to double that."
Donal Murphy, business unit manager for Coda at Cork-based Colman Computer Services, said the level of support provided by the company should prove attractive to new channel partners.
"The major thing about being a Coda partner is the level of support that comes from the company," Murphy explained.
Coda places a far greater emphasis on the business relationship, he said, adding that the company provides "support at every level".
