Unidata, a data management solutions manufacturer and distributor, has appointed Kim Lewin (above) as UK managing director. Previously customer services director with Ingres, he will be responsibile for developing an object relational database product and will help expand the company's professional services division.

IT services company CMG has promoted Michael Rawnsley (below) to account manager. Rawnsley will be responsible for the support and development of its client base. Based at the firm's payroll data centre in Feltham, he will liaise with larger clients and assist the business team.

Triaster, sole distributor of Strategic Mapping's Atlas GIS portfolio, has promoted Craig Edwards to UK senior sales executive. He will be responsible for generating new business in the GIS sector and for developing Triaster's national Var channel.

Hewlett Packard has recruited Tim Hannington (below) as UK business manager of its mechanical design division. He joins from CDI Technologies, where he was UK sales manager. Hannington will head the UK sales and marketing drive for HP Cad systems.

Graham Lomax has joined Xerox Desktop Document Systems as European sales and marketing manager. He will be responsible for marketing and sales activities in Europe, and for precision and direct marketing.
