ANS grows top and bottom line
Ambitious Mancunian VAR banks on public sector expertise as revenue rises by a quarter

Reseller ANS Group has claimed a solid public sector customer base helped it to grow its top and bottom lines during the first half of its fiscal year.
For the six months to the end of September, revenue rose 24 per cent on the same period last year to £5.14m. Profit after tax rose eight per cent on last year to £415,000 and annual recurring revenues also increased 21 per cent to £3.4m.
Chief executive Scott Fletcher told CRN: "I think this is a great set of results given the current economic climate. It is partly down to the fact we have a pretty strong public sector customer base – it has been tougher in the private sector."
Fletcher claimed the fact that ANS does not rely on one or two key customers was key to the company's stability. "We are concentrating on keeping costs under control and having steady business across the board," he said.
