OutlookSoft turns to the channel for help
CPM software vendor seeks VARs to assist with UK expansion
Corporate performance management (CPM) software vendor, OutlookSoft, is looking to the channel for the first time to help it cope with its rapid UK growth.
The US firm has been operating in the UK for four years, but via a direct model only. Its web-based CPM product provides a single application for strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, statutory and management consolidation, reporting, analysis, predictive analytics, and score- carding.
Mike Hawes, managing director of OutlookSoft UK and Ireland, said: “Last year we grew by 60 per cent on the previous year. This year we are set to grow by 100 per cent. In fact we are growing so rapidly that we can’t handle the amount of business we are getting. We need to get resellers on board now.”
Mark McCarthy, channel manager at OutlookSoft UK and Ireland, said: “Our US operation has an established mid-market VAR programme in place, which we will be introducing into the UK. We would like to recruit 10 to12 mid-market-focused resellers in the UK, as well as two distributors in the public sector: one to handle local government, and one to handle central government. We are also looking for a distributor for the Irish market.
“The fact that we have one unified product that tackles the whole of a company’s CPM means it is easier for a reseller to be trained and to implement it. Most of our competitors have a whole suite of different products that VARs have to be trained on.”
London-based reseller Audenca has been signed up as OutlookSoft’s first UK reseller. Gordon Roxon, managing director of Audenca, told CRN: “I’m very confident in OutlookSoft’s offering. It has a good go-to-market strategy, and it is also good to partner with.”
