KCom focuses on JAM

Telecoms group KCom has pooled its contact centre service and development teams in the IP contact centre reseller arm, JAM IP, to strengthen its position in the market.

The move comes after KCom, which also owns VAR Affiniti, acquired JAM IP for £2.56m in December 2006. It values the contact centre market at £1bn and is eager to build its presence to secure a foothold.
Affiniti will transfer all of its contact centre capabilities into Jam IP as part of the move.
Suzette Bouzane-Meadows, head of contact centres at Affiniti said: “It is all about focus. By pooling our services we can make the most of our skills in the sector.”
Nick Grossman, corporate business development director at KCom rival 2e2, said: “JAM IP is a good tool for certain solutions, but this will not change its fortunes dramatically.”
Bouzane-Meadows added that Affiniti’s former sales and development director, Gary Butler, will head up JAM IP.
