Epson appoints Steljes

Distributor added to printer manufacturer's stable

Epson has appointed Steljes as its fourth projector distributor. The deal, which comes into effect on 1 March, will see Steljes join Epson’s existing projector distributors: Computer 2000, Maverick and Midwich.

Simon Kitson, business sales and marketing manager at Epson UK, said: “Epson was a successful pioneer of the recent British Educational Communications and Technology Agency interactive whiteboard (IWB) initiative that led to us taking a strong share of the education market. As the exclusive distributor of Smart Technologies’ IWBs, Steljes makes an ideal partner for Epson because our projectors work well with Smart boards.

“Steljes’ strength and expertise in the education and broader public-sector market will be a major asset. This appointment will complement our existing distributor network.”

Julian Klein, managing director of Steljes Trade, said: “We already carry projectors from BenQ, InFocus, NEC, Sony and Toshiba. The addition of Epson’s products will give our resellers more choice. We see the addition of Epson’s products as complementary to our current portfolio.

“Epson’s customer service is very aligned with our own.”
