Comms-care adds software to services pick 'n' mix
Third-party services specialist ups its software game and stresses the importance of individual pricing
Sweet deal: Comms-care charges customers for individual services rather than for an all-encompassing package
Comms-care is set to ramp up its push into software services in order to offer resellers a full à la carte range of support offerings.
The Crewe-based firm made its name offering third-party break-fix services on networking kit. The last 18 months has seen Comms-care push deeper into the hardware space and the company now offers support for all the major server and system vendors.
The final piece of the puzzle is software support and remote monitoring. Comms-care's marketing manager Richard Eglon claimed this area is starting to provide a wealth of opportunities.
"This is our main push at the moment," he said. "We are traditionally known as a hardware break-fix company but have moved more into software support as a bolt-on service. We have done a bit of that in the past, but we have not gone all guns blazing. We have seen a lot more opportunities develop."
Eglon explained Comms-care is committed to allowing its reseller customers to pick and choose the services they require, rather than charging them for an all-inclusive managed service package. He added that the firm's attainment of the ISO 20000 IT service management accreditation late last year has had a major impact.
"A lot of resellers are looking for that ISO accreditation," he said. " Having that has opened up a lot of new doors for us."
