Cetus snaps up Dilgenter

Citrix partner finally fulfils ambitions of moving into the south of the country

Cetus will not take

Manchester-based VAR Cetus Solutions has gained a foothold in the south of the country by acquiring the assets of Citrix and Microsoft partner Dilgenter.

Dilgenter was liquidated on 30 September and Cetus has picked up its seven staff and Oxfordshire office. It will not assume any debt as part of the deal.

Cetus marketing director Kelly Layton said the duo had struck up a dialogue soon after their formation at the turn of the century.

“We both said wouldn’t it be great if we got together one day,” she said. “We were both known as boutique resellers and had equal respect for each other, although Dilgenter did get in-to financial difficulties.”

She added that Dilgenter would also provide Cetus with a launchpad into the cloud computing market.

Layton said the acquisition, along with a recent 3,500-seat council deal, would help to boost Cetus’ turnover to £5m for its financial year to September 2010. The Dilgenter brand will slowly be eased out, she added.
