LG outlines channel recruitment drive
The electronics giant wants 3,000 partners in its channel programme by 2011
Guy said resellers of all sizes are welcome on LG's partner programme
Consumer electronics giant LG Electronics hopes to have more than 3,000 UK resellers on board by January 2011, following the roll out of its first channel partner programme.
The partner programme marks the vendor’s first foray into the B2B channel and has already generated interest from about 400 potential partners, said LG.
The company has stated that it is specifically targeting resellers that specialise in audiovisual products, but is happy to hear from prospective partners of all sizes.
Barrie Guy, general manager of LG Business Solutions, said: “It does not matter how big these companies are, they will still be treated with the same amount of respect and receive the same level of service.”
Guy added that LG had no plans to deal direct with end users because generating “channel loyalty” was far more important to the firm as it strives to establish itself in the B2B space.
