CyberLink and Acer go green
Vendor teams up with Intel in energy-efficiency drive
CyberLink and Intel are working together to enable the Acer Aspire M5700 desktop computer with Intel remote wake technology and CyberLink Live Premium, to give consumers off-the-shelf energy-efficient technologies.
CyberLink Live is a remote media access web service that lets users enjoy media stored in their PCs from any web browser. With Remote Wake users can wake up their Aspire PC from sleep mode for secure remote access to their digital media.
It means viewing live TV shows, webcam feeds, videos, photos, music and documents at home is as energy efficient as possible.
“This technology enables the user to play an active role in protecting our environment by reducing carbon dioxide and unnecessary electric use," said Allen Jong, director of Acer's stationary computing business unit.
