The SBC-400, available from Impulse Corporation, is an all-in-one CPU card which supports L2 cache sizes ranging from 128Kb to 512Kb. The card accepts Intel, AMD, Cyrix and other compatible 486-based CPUs and is also totally PC/AT-compatible. If a program execution is stopped by a program bug or EMI, the 16-stage watchdog timer will reset the CPU or generate an interrupt automatically.

Ricoh has launched five colour copiers to add to its Aficio range of digital office solutions. According to the company, the range is designed to offer high-productivity digital colour copying, and includes three 3cpm Aficio colour 2000 copiers and 2cpm Aficio Colour 5000 machines (above).

The Scenic Pro range of professional desktop PCs from Siemens Nixdorf's PC Unit will be available with Intel's latest 200MHz Pentium processor.

The firm says the chips will be available in the Scenic Pro C5 Desktop and Scenic Pro M5 Minitower systems. These models will also feature a 256Kb or 512Kb SRam second-level pipeline burst cache, 16Mb of EDO Ram, maximum 128Mb, 64-bit PCI graphics, six-speed CD-Rom and Fast IDE hard drives of up to 2.1Gb.

Fujitsu ICL Computers has launched the C508i, a Lan server with 2GB Scsi hard disk, 32Mb of ECC Ram and a 166MHz Pentium processor as standard. The server is aimd at medium-sized departmental networks and comes with the server manager product suite that provides centralised remote server management.
