Bell Microsystems treads acquisition path
Asset management specialist snaps up rival provider SLS
Bell Microsystems has acquired Portsmouth-based asset management services provider, SLS, for an undisclosed sum.
Alastair Bell, managing director of Bell, said: “For the past eight years, Bell Microsystems has offered a full IT Asset Management Service. SLS have been one of our key sub-contract partners; providing logistics support – including fleet and warehousing services – together with specialist degaussing facilities for secure removal of data."
He continued: “With SLS joining us, we now have total control over the entire asset management process and we can offer our customers one of the most complete, end-to-end asset management services available in the UK," he said.
Over the past three years Bell claims to have increased its annual turnover from £2.1m to £14m.
"We were already in the process of expanding our own warehousing facilities with a new, purpose-built, 10,000 square foot site, which is due for completion shortly. Now, SLS’s existing warehouse will enable us to expand our facilities by a further 8,000 square feet," Bell added.
