SonicWall opens Chertsey technical support centre

EMEA support centre for partners added to India and Arizona centres

SonicWall products will now have around-the-clock support in EMEA

Security vendor SonicWall has opened a technical support centre in Chertsey to help out reseller partners targeting SMB and enterprise customers across EMEA.

Keith Bird, vice president and managing director at SonicWall EMEA, said the centre takes back the reins from third-party provider HECC.

“Moving technical support in-house means we can respond to customers much more efficiently and much more effectively than offering such a service through a third party,” he said.

SonicWall has been investing globally to bring its technical support back in-house worldwide, with the Chertsey support centres being the third to open following centres in Bangalore, India and Tempe, Arizona.

Previously, support had been provided from nine to five but it will now be on offer around the clock by telephone.

Abhay Solapurkar, vice president of worldwide support at SonicWall, said the vendor wants to make its support centres the best in the world for security appliances and related offerings.

“We will now be able to offer dedicated technical support services in all our key markets,” Solapurkar said.

Andrew Wright, sales director at UK SonicWall partner Nonstop IT, said quality of service has become more important.
