C2000 gets to the core of Apple market
Distributor adds Mac software provider Parallels and specialist sales team to help resellers cash in on Apple products
C2000 wants to capitalise on the popularity of the Mac
Distributor Computer 2000 (C2000) has signed Mac software provider Parallels to capitalise on the “growing popularity” of Apple products.
The distributor singled out the vendor’s Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac offering, which enables Apple Mac users to run Windows applications on their computers, as a “significant addition” to its product portfolio.
James Reed, general manager of software at C2000, added: “With the popularity of the Mac continuing to grow among both business and home users, there is an increasing need and desire to run Windows applications, so we see great opportunities here.”
C2000 has also announced that it has set up a dedicated sales team specialising in Apple products within its PC division tasked with “accelerating” Mac sales for its reseller partners.
Mark Glasspool, general manager of C2000’s specialist PC systems division, said: “We see good growth opportunities, both in the consumer and business markets for all types of Apple Macs, from the full range of portables to the increasingly popular desktop all-in-ones.”
