IT wizards show off at Apple Expo
The Apple Expo show in November will include the launch of digital cameras by Casio, Fuji and Kodak as vendors try to move the consumer and business markets from conventional photography to computer-based imaging.
Apple marketing director Nigel Turner and Claris VP Guerrino de Luca will be the keynote speakers on 6 November. There will be presentations from Mac market players such as Adobe, Kodak, Colorgen, Macromedia, Quark Systems, 4-Sight and Mac clone manufacturers. The show closes on 9 November.
Mitsubishi Electronic will run an electronic imaging competition with prizes worth u20,000 on offer to the most creative entries from attendees.
Apple will launch its Colour One Scanner 1200/30 at the event, Claris will unveil its Home Page creation tool for the Web, and Mousepad will launch a mat that absorbs many of the contaminants that usually get inside mice.
Workshops at the show will be run by The Corps Business in Adobe, Quark, Macromedia and Claris packages.
For the first time, Fractal Design will have its own stand. At its first appearance at a UK exhibition since its merger with Ray Dream, Fractal Design will launch its 2D and 3D bundles, including Expression, Painter and Poser software.
