Griffin gives VARs white label engineers
ISP hopes to boost partners' sales of MPLS and Ethernet technology with UK-wide engineering provision
Ethernet gains: Griffin claims there has been a surge in demand for MPLS and Ethernet technology
Griffin Internet is aiming to make it easier for partners to sell multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) and Ethernet technology with its recently launched Intelligent Install white label engineering service.
The Derby-based ISP claims many deployments of the technology require on-site installation. The prohibitive expense of having a UK-wide engineering team could hamper some resellers' sales, explained Griffin.
For a flat fee, the ISP is now able to send an engineer to any UK location to install end users' routers. Bearing the partner's brand, the engineers will also carry out custom configuration and testing work.
Tim Walker, managing director of Griffin partner Iconnyx, claimed the service has benefited his business.
“Since we have been using Intelligent Install, our network solutions have been implemented earlier and with fewer complaints," he said. "This has improved customer satisfaction and increased revenue.”
Griffin's sales and marketing director Andrew Dickinson added: “Intelligent Install is a key part of our philosophy to provide partners with everything they need to sell our services from start to finish. We believe that we are the first channel ISP to offer white label engineers at a fixed price and so far the feedback from our partners has been very encouraging.”
