Eagle preys on schools with card offer

ID product distributor expects VARs' sales to soar with free card design offer for schools

ID product distributor Eagle Technologies is offering free card designs to any school or child play group purchasing a printer from one of its resellers.

The Eagle Learning Cards scheme aims to give VARs' sales of desktop printers in the education space a shot in the arm. Eagle was quick to point out that, although most printers it sells are predominantly used to print ID cards, they are also well suited to other types of card. Examples given by the distributor include business cards, loyalty cards, membership cards and more playful cards, such as pretend pilot's licenses for children.

The card designs offered will include information on multiplication tables, nutritional facts, shapes, colours measurements, the alphabet and time. They all come in bright colours and Eagle claimed that, because they are plastic, they are durable, easy to clean and perfect for the classroom environment.

Eagle claimed that the offer could help make schools aware of the ways printing can be used in learning. It also indicated the card design offer would make printer purchases more attractive and economically viable.
