Integrator wins contract to install and manage Cisco IP network for the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club

Wimbledon may have been a washout, but Logicalis is basking in the sun after being selected to install and manage a Cisco IP network for the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC).

The VAR said it successfully completed the first stage of a network overhaul for the club in time for the start of the two-week event.

Over 50 systems will run across the new network as the AELTC bids to improve facilities for spectators, players, officials and media.

Applications running on the network include security accreditation to authenticate support staff, ticket monitoring services and a live IPTV stream to be screened throughout the ground.

Tom Kelly, managing director at Logicalis UK said: “Working closely with the IT team, we have evolved a standard network deployment into a robust state-of-the-art foundation, upon which a plethora of new systems and emerging technologies can be built.

“In this way, new technologies and new infrastructures will remain key to maintaining the club’s world class reputation well into the 21st century.”

Jeff Lucas, IT Director at AELTC, said: “At every stage of the tender process Logicalis came out on top.

“Both the team and their solid references inspired us with confidence and the smooth implementation, on time and on budget, shows we made the right choice.”
