BTIC recruits resellers to focus on voice market
Telco signs 18 new partners and plans more recruitment
BT Indirect Channels (BTIC) has signed 18 new partners as part of its focus on its core voice business, and plans more recruitment.
BTIC has recently talked up its emergence in the ICT market but has always maintained the importance of its traditional voice market, which accounts for about two-thirds of its business.
Chris Jagusz, general manager for chapter management at BTIC, said there is an opportunity for more traditional data resellers to take on voice sales successfully.
"We are always keen to hear from resellers that want to work with us on voice packages," he said.
Twelve new resellers have been signed to buy products through distribution, with another six engaged to work directly with BTIC.
Mark Evans, director at new partner ME Consultancy, said the firm deals with both voice and data, and works in conjunction with other resellers in consulting businesses.
"We work with partners because in the voice and data markets a lot of suppliers have their own customers but no relationship with BTIC," he said.
