Daisy keeps north-east roots
After evaluation, VAR group decides to keep Northumberland-based office
HQ decision: The BNQ acquisition was Daisy's 29th to date
VAR Daisy Group has kept a permanent base in the North East after confirming that the office of recently acquired BNS will remain open.
Northumberland-based BNS was Daisy’s 29th acquisition to date, and after a management review, has been earmarked by the management team as the key to future growth of the Daisy Group.
Gareth Kirkwood, chief operating officer at Daisy, said: “Before making any decisions about the future of the company and eventual integration, we were committed to fully understanding the BNS business. We believe there is a strong business here and we have realised greater synergies than expected, with a cost-effective operation in the North East.
“We have been continually impressed by the quality and enthusiasm of the people at BNS and I am pleased to say that we really do see Prudhoe as being a key part of the Daisy growth story going forward,” he said.
Chris Jagusz, interim managing director of BNS, said: “As the group anticipates future growth, it is important that the business has the capabilities in place to support those plans. With the recognised skills within the BNS team and expertise to make more products available to SME customers, it makes absolute sense to retain our presence in the North East.”
