Senmerc turns the pages

LEARNING PACKAGE

Semerc has released Pages, a word processor and learning package with sound output for younger and special needs users.

The u49 package is designed to resemble paper and a pencil case. It runs on PC and Archimedes computers and enables users to type in text, add words by dragging them onto the page from a word list, import pictures or even draw freehand with the mouse. Characters, words or phrases can be read aloud to the user once they have been typed in. There is also a built-in spell checker.

The graphical capabilities of Pages mean it can be used as a basic desktop publishing package, Semerc claims.
