Trustmarque offsets its carbon emissions

Software licensing reseller brushes up on its green credentials

Software licensing VAR Trustmarque Solutions will be offsetting its carbon emissions by purchasing carbon credits in the Netherlands.

As part of the Sterksel Biogas Project, which aims to reduce methane emissions into the atmosphere and displace fossil fuels used to heat local buildings, Trustmarque will be working with The CarbonNeutral Company.

Tim Dickens, sales director at Trustmarque, said: “We understand that our customers are increasingly concerned about the environment and the environmental credentials of their suppliers, so it gives us a service differentiator that sets us apart from our competitors.

“With a large proportion of our customers residing in the public sector, of which environmental policies are of a major concern, our customers can be confident that we are working in the best interests of the environment.”

Trustmarque itself is a CarbonNeutral company, which means it has worked with The CarbonNeutral Company to reduce all of its CO2 emissions to net zero, maintaining this for the past four years.

Sue Welland, founder and executive director for marketing of The CarbonNeutral Company said: “It is fantastic that Trustmarque is considering the climate change impact of its business and has taken steps to tackle its emissions.

“In doing so, Trustmarque is helping to ‘green’ the supply chain and make it easier for its customers to do the same, while setting an excellent environmental example to the rest of their industry.”
