Techex continues staff shuffle
Maidenhead-based Techex Communications has continued its management rejig and appointed recent Azlan departee Alan Chapman as business development director for its client, British Telecom.
The systems integrator recently lost MD Helena Wand, who resigned on 23 March, to be replaced by both Mark Randall and Richard Biggins (PC Dealer, 1 April).
Chapman recently resigned as MD of Azlan Training, but according to a source, is still working out a six-month notice under which he continues to be paid.
The source said: 'As an MD, he has to give six months notice, so technically he is still employed.' But he added: 'The moment Alan wants to work elsewhere, Azlan is entitled to stop paying a salary.'
Randall confirmed Chapman would begin work at the company on 6 April. Randall added: 'Alan agreed to the full-time job on 31 March.'
Chapman refused to confirm his position, and said: 'Legally, I don't know what the situation is at the moment, but I have been working as a consultant at Techex Communications and Intelligent Technologies.'
Barrie Morgans, chairman at Azlan, said: 'I was aware Alan was looking into a few things, but I don't know what he is doing about it.'
Randall refused to comment on whether Danny Clues, currently employed at reseller Intelligent Technologies, and former Azlan employee, would be joining Techex Communications.
