VAC level for Logicalis
Logicalis Group expands its VMWare partnership
The Logicalis Group has expanded its partnership with virtualisation specialist VMWare to provide consultation services alongside the vendor’s products.
The services reseller has earned certification as a VMWare Authorised Consulting (VAC) partner. This allows it to provide a number of end-user services, ranging from pre-packaged consultation, such as VMWare Virtual Centre, to VMWare Capacity Planner reports.
Steve Ellis, managing director of Logicalis, told CRN that it was already a member of VMWare’s Virtual Partner reseller network, and that expanding into VAC did not require a box-shifter or volume mentality.
“This gives us the opportunity to talk to end-users about how we can take them onto a higher ground and improve their bottom line,” he said.
“We see a potentially huge opportunity through this accreditation. VMWare falls into many of the products we already have in our port-folio. Adding managed services to this will be a fantastic opportunity for us.”
Julie Gregory, UK marketing manager at VMware, said: “We are delighted to have a fast growing company such as Logicalis on board as a VMware Authorised Consulting Partner.”
The announcement comes after CRN reported last year that Logicalis was aiming to double its turnover within the next two years, mostly through acquisition, putting it on a par with rival services and infrastructure giant Computacenter (CRN, 8 August 2005).
