Logicalis joins Secure ranks
Vendor signs 1,000th VAR as it looks to growth in 2006
Secure Computing has signed Logicalis as its 1,000th VAR, 12 months after its transition to an indirect sales model.
The vendor has also selected Sphinx to be the first distributor of its entire product portfolio in the UK.
Steve Munro, security practice manager at Logicalis, said the firm was “excited at the prospects the relationship would bring”.
Last week, Secure Computing finalised its acquisition of CyberGuard and admitted it has a challenge integrating the two vendors’ channels.
Andrew Philpott, vice-president of EMEA sales at Secure Computing, said the merger will mean both companies’ VARs will have strong cross-selling opportunities.
“We will work closely with the channel to get our arms around this combined opportunity,” he said.
Philpott told CRN the firm will keep the CyberGuard and WebWasher brands as part of the Secure Computing portfolio.
