Tech Data appoints new CEO

Steve Raymund will move to non-executive chairman of the board as new CEO bought in

Distributor Tech Data, parent company of Computer 2000 in the UK has appointed Robert Dutkowsky to chief executive effective 2 October when incumbent chief executive Steve Raymund leaves the firm.
Dutkowsky was formerly at IBM, EMC and chief executive of JD Edwards back in 2002. Most latterly he was chief executive of Egenera. Tech Data said Raymund would continue in his role as non-executive chairman of the board.
Raymund said in a statement: "Bob possesses a highly successful track record in driving sales growth and leading companies through periods of change and development. His sales expertise, business acumen and leadership ability in the areas of distribution and product development are an enormous addition to our company.
Dutkowsky said: "I am excited to be a part of an extremely dynamic and successful organisation.
