Neoware signs Interface deal
Vendor names newest UK distributor
Thin-client technology vendor Neoware Systems has named Interface Solutions International as its latest UK distributor, adding a new dimension to its channel as it strives to reach IBM resellers.
Peter Bolton, executive vice-president Europe at Neoware, said Interface Solutions offers different expertise to the vendor's other distributors, Centia and G-Tech, which focus more on Citrix and desktops respectively.
"We see a major opportunity among IBM resellers. IBM has resold our products since it stopped making thin-client hardware in 2002, and we are the most compatible with it," Bolton claimed.
Kevin Donohoe, head of product strategy and procurement at Interface Solutions, said the deal will strengthen the distributor's portfolio.
"Businesses are refreshing desktops, and whether they want to do this with PCs or thin clients, we can do it," he said.
The thin-client hardware market has received a boost recently with Citrix - the vendor that provides the software that runs on much of this hardware, including Neoware's - moving to increase channel sales.
