Azzurri becomes supplier of choice for the GPG

The Global Procurement Group will push the VAR's voice and data services

Azzurri has beaten off competition from four other VARs to become communications supplier of choice for the Global Procurement Group (GPG).

The deal will see the GPG, which aims to cut procurement costs for SMEs, push Azzurri’s voice and data services to its UK clients, most of whom have a turnover of £5m to £100m.

Jonathan Beckerlegge, business development director at GPG, told CRN: “We looked at five different providers and felt Azzurri most fitted the needs of our client base.

“This could be incredibly lucrative for Azzurri, as GPG will have upwards of 2,000 clients within 12 months.”

Paul Sutton, regional sales manager at Azzurri, said: “It is still early days, but GPG has chosen us as sole supplier of communications to its customers, so we feel our product portfolio will fit with every one of its clients.”
