Saragossi leaves Tetra for piece of multimedia action
Tetra marketing vice president Mark Saragossi is to quit the accountancy firm at the end of May to set up his own business.
The Tetra veteran ? he was at the company for eight years ? is leaving the accountancy software industry to set up multimedia firm Octa, which will start trading in June from Northwood. Octa will sell multimedia presentation development tools and internet tools.
Saragossi, who previously ran Tetra UK, dismissed suggestions he was leaving because he had been given less responsibility following Bob Critchlow?s appointment as CEO.
?General ledgers can only sustain you for so long,? said Saragossi. ?I?ve always had the desire to start my own company. I?ve worked for 14 years with business software products so I wanted to do something different.?
Peter Reynolds, managing director of Tetra dealer Microdynamics, said: ?I?m not sure that Saragossi was lined up as part of Tetra?s management team of the future, but he?s obviously held in high esteem because he?s been working his full three months? notice.?
Andrew Yule, marketing director at Tetra, said: ?He?s had a very full time with Tetra.?
Saragossi leaves on 31 May at the end of the company?s financial year. A successor has yet to be appointed.
