Symantec opens up security to Codework
Altiris distributor gains access to wider portfolio after impressing vendor with growth spurt
In safe hands: Codework claims it will offer a high-level support and understanding on the security kit
Stockport-based security and storage distributor Codework has extended its deal with Symantec to cover the vendor's security line-up.
Codework became part of Symantec's distribution stable following the security giant's acquisition of IT management software specialist Altiris in 2007. The distributor claims is performance over the last year has earmarked it as one of Symantec's fastest-growing distributors.
Symantec's channel sales director Helen Wood claimed Codework's promotion was well earned.
"Codework has delivered impressive results since it became a Symantec distributor following the Altiris acquisition," she said. "By including our market-leading enterprise security solutions in its portfolio, Codework will be able to enable its resellers to increase their revenue and service offerings around the exciting data loss prevention opportunities we are finding."
Codework will be focusing on Symantec's endpoint protection, multi-tier protection, network access control, protection suite, Brightmail, control compliance suite, IM manager and information manager products. The distributor's sales director Divyesh Lakhani claimed his firm would have no trouble making the step up.
“We will ensure the quality of support and in-depth understanding of products our partners have come to expect from Codework in relation to Altiris, will simply be replicated with these latest Symantec additions to our portfolio," he added.
