SAP nabs Lawson man for EMEA role
Software vendor puts Franck Cohen in EMEA chief operating officer hot seat
Cohen: My first priority is to spend time with customer-facing SAP employees and our customers
Software giant SAP has handed former Lawson executive Franck Cohen the role of chief operating officer for EMEA, to assess and share best practices throughout the region.
Based in Paris, Cohen will work alongside his team to simplify processes with the goal of responding to customers needs with greater speed.
With 22 years of experience, he joins SAP from Lawson Software where he most recently held the position of executive vice president and general manager for EMEA and North America.
Of his new role, Cohen said: “My first priority is to spend time with customer-facing SAP employees and our customers to gain first-hand experience of our existing practices and processes. My role is to replicate what is working well, and to deliver process improvements that will enhance the experience of both internal and external SAP stakeholders.
“One of my most important goals is to allow field employees to dedicate as much time and expertise to our customers as possible, and to listen and adapt to the priorities of these customers.”
Before Lawson Software, Cohen was general manager EMEA at Swedish business application vendor Intentia.
