Intel targets buying groups with Enta appointment

Chip vendor appoints Enta as sixth UK distributor alongside Avnet, DNS Arrow, Ingram Micro, Computer 2000 and Hammer

Intel has appointed Enta Technologies as its sixth UK distributor for its core processor line-up, in a bid to strengthen its ties with SME buying groups.

Enta joins incumbents Avnet, DNS Arrow, Ingram Micro, Computer 2000 and Hammer, which also have access to Intel’s motherboard, building blocks and networking portfolio.

Jon Atherton, vice president of Enta, said the distributor had been working with Intel for a number of months before officially netting the authorised Intel Channel Supplier badge.

“We are very excited about this tier-one franchise. Enta predominantly focuses on the SME/SMB buying group space and Intel has committed to us to go after that channel for them.”

Gerald Grattoni, Intel Corporation, UK channel sales and marketing manager, said: “Enta Technologies’ 17 years of experience as a component and IT services supplier will efficiently complement Intel current distribution network.

“Intel remains committed to support the UKI channel and we are confident that the addition of Enta Technologies will successfully strengthen our support model and accessibility to the UKI Intel Channel Programme.”
