Management shuffle: SAP has appointed a new managing director and chief financial officer for UK and Ireland

Software giant SAP has announced a UK and Ireland management shuffle with the appointment of a new managing director and chief financial officer.

Tim Noble has joined the vendor as managing director for the UK and Ireland and Frederic Arrouays takes the position of chief financial officer of SAP UK and Ireland, both effective immediately.

Noble takes the place of Steve Rogers, who was recently promoted to head of business user and solution sales for SAP EMEA.

He joins SAP from market watcher Gartner, where he was senior vice president, executive officer of global sales and will be responsible for leading the 1,100 strong UKI team.

On his appointment, Noble said: “I am very excited about joining SAP and working with the team to ensure we continue to provide our customers with the very best solutions and service.

“It is not easy for any organisation at this moment in time, but there is a large market opportunity and I am committed to seeing the UKI succeed and grow.”

Frederic Arrouays, chief financial officer of SAP UKI, has been tasked with the management of financial and administration functions.

With more than 16 years of financial experience he will be responsible for supporting commercial operations across the UK business, in addition to the overall responsibility for all compliance activities. He said: “Our global ambition is clear; become number one in every market in which we choose to compete.

“To do this we need to continue to hone in on and manage the financial risks brought by the recession, driving efficiencies through timely, informed decisions and easy process management. In doing this we can help our customers to become best-run businesses."
