RSA reveals ambitious plans for EMEA partners
Security vendor doubles marketing budget to target entry-level Registered resellers
Jo Pettifer: The extra marketing cash will be put towards entry-level Registered resellers
RSA Security aims to grow its EMEA partner base by 50 per cent after adding a raft of new incentives to its SecurWorld partner programme.
Resellers and distributors can now earn double rewards on the vendor’s debit card incentive scheme for the rest of the year. This includes a $200 (£100) bonus for a new SecurID licence, $250 for a SecurID Appliance and $500 for a new enVision licence or appliance.
The EMC-owned vendor has also doubled its partner marketing funds and added an EMEA channel team dedicated to recruiting and developing new resellers.
Jo Pettifer, SecurWorld programme manager at RSA, said the extra cash would be directed towards entry-level Registered resellers.
“We have always had a good level of marketing funds available for our top-level partners. This year, we have decided to drive it down to new partners,” she said.
“The SecurWorld programme was the single largest investment in our history, but we have probably doubled that again in EMEA this year.”
As well as increasing its base of Registered resellers for its authentication technology, Pettifer said RSA is keen to add higher-level Solution and Access partners around its information and event management and database security technology.
RSA currently has 1,050 partners in EMEA and 257 in the UK, 162 of which sit in the Registered tier.
Nick Garlick, managing director of VAR Nebulas Security, said: “RSA is a key partner of ours in management and two-factor authentication. This can only be good news for us, as we will get more access to marketing resources. Offering incentives to sales people is equally important.”
