Gamma eyes SI partners

Carrier looks to sign up data specialists through targeted programmes

Golden opportunity: Gamma is offering a range of white-label services to entice VARs into telecoms provision

Carrier Gamma Telecom is looking to double its percentage of data VARs this year with the help of a monthly technology focus scheme.

The firm is also launching a programme to entice telecoms newcomers into the world of lines and minutes provision. Partners can back off everything to Gamma except sales, with the carrier offering a range of white-label services.

Marketing manager Justin Coombes said: “In terms of reseller recruitment, it is IT and data resellers and systems integrators (SI) that are very much a growth area for us.”

Coombes revealed that Gamma’s channel base was currently made up of just 10 per cent data specialists, but that the carrier is keen to double that figure this year.

This would aid the firm’s goal of winning more business in the mid-market, enterprise and public sector markets, he said.

SIs are being wooed through a monthly technology education scheme. Products under the microscope include SIP trunking and inbound telephony services.
