Channel Awards combines reward with fair play

PC Dealer has pledged that this year's Channel Awards event will be significantly bigger than before with additional award categories, and revamped questionnaires and voting methodology.

The PC Dealer Channel Awards 99, the UK's only event recognising excellence in the channel, will take place on 23 November. For the fourth year running, AMD will be the exclusive sponsor.

A number of significant changes have been made this year to reflect the importance of the event.

The voting system will be stricter than in the past with readers only able to vote on official voting forms. This will be further supplemented by the ongoing telemarketing research being carried out by Compubase with 100 resellers each month until November, to help benchmark votes on the UK's distributors.

The changes will ensure that there is the highest level of fairness and professionalism when picking all of the winners.

Paula Barnes, publisher of PC Dealer, said: "The enhancements we have introduced will continue to greatly improve what has now become one of the biggest IT industry awards events in the country."

The additional award categories this year include Storage Distributor of the Year and Portable Product of the Year.
