Outsourcing revamp at ICL

ICL is set to merge outsourcing subsidiary CFM and services arm ICL Sorbus as part of a remerger of different corporate divisions.

Keith Todd, chief executive of ICL, canvassed senior executives of the company's divisions at an annual strategy meeting in Denmark this month, asking which outsourcing arm of ICL they favoured.

One source said there was a 50:50 split of opinion about which name and organisational setup should be retained.

A representative at ICL UK said he was unable to confirm or deny the reports. But he said Todd did have a policy to pull together the disparate divisions at the company.

'It could be that there is some crossover and there may have been discussions around the subject,' he said.

'He (Todd) has said publicly that he wants the perception of ICL to be as one company. He wants people to regard it very much as people see EDS and not fragmented.'
