Citrix simplifies its product branding
Vendor hopes to end channel confusion by grouping software under one umbrella
Infrastructure software vendor Citrix is hoping to erase confusion in the channel by grouping its software under one umbrella.
As part of its strategy to provide secure, on-demand access to enterprise applications, all of its software will now fall under the branding of Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite.
Jim McGrath, business line director at Citrix, said this includes its latest product, MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.0, formerly branded as Nfuse Elite, which is particularly aimed at firms with a mobile workforce.
"Having the complete suite of products under one brand not only eradicates confusion, but provides a great platform for our resellers to go back to their installed base and sell additional products, as well as enlist new customers," he said.
The move has been well received by channel partners. Adrian Woodstock, pre-sales manager at Vistorm, said: "Citrix is now focusing on a single brand which is easier for customers to understand."
Lee Perkins, sales director at distributor ETC, said: "There has been uncertainty around the viability of Nfuse Elite compared with software from rival vendors. Resellers have not always been sure how to position the product."
