Infortrend RAID on market share
Storage networking vendor unveils plans to grab a larger slice of the RAID market
Storage networking vendor Infortrend plans to grab a piece of the RAID market by enticing resellers with its EonStor S12F-R1432 redundant-controller and the S12F-G1433 single-controller fibre channel (FC)-to-SAS/SATA subsystems.
Tony Perng, managing director of Infortrend, said: “Infortrend wants to grow its market share because vendors such as EMC and HP dominate the market.”
Infortrend claims it now offers the whole package with fibre channel, iSCSI, SAS, SATA, and SCSI RAID systems.
Marketing director Alex Young said: “Normally such systems have two connectors, but Infortrend’s has a minimum of four, so at least eight PCs can be connected at once.”
