Wily targets resellers to push performance
Wily Technology looking for UK partners
Five months after it was acquired by Computer Associates (CA) for $375m, Wily Technology is still on the hunt for UK partners to push its performance management software.
The vendor, which remains a separate division within CA, is particularly keen to target high-level VARs and resellers with J2EE and .Net expertise.
Pierre Baudin, EMEA director of marketing and alliances at Wily Technology, said: “We are the leading company in application performance management technology, and we work with strategic software vendor partners and large integrators, as well as traditional VARs. We are definitely looking for more partners, particularly with J2EE and .Net skills.”
He added that the vendor prefers to deal direct with partners, rather than through a distributor. Under its Alliance Partner Programme, partners are divided into three levels: Gold, Silver and Platinum.
“Application performance management is still in its infancy, so the more people that know about us, the better,” Baudin said.
He added that the firm is seeing particular success in markets such as large government, telcos, financial services and retail.
Darren Martin, technical architect at Kainos, a Wily Technology partner, said: “We are always investigating new tools to help our customers. Wily’s products are the best tools that allow us to do just that. Thirty to 40 per cent of our business on a yearly basis involves selling Wily Technology. Anything it can do to increase that figure is welcome.
“We have spent a fair amount of time using their tools internally. We have gone through analysis with customers. It allows us to add value and save time.”
