WStore unveils software licensing tool

Online reseller launches Microsoft licensing sales tool via tie-up with Solarweb

Online reseller WStore claims to have bolstered its Microsoft licensing sales capabilities by hooking up with software developer Solarweb.

WStore has launched a new online software licensing tool called Licensing Online, which will handle its sale of Microsoft licenses. The technology is based on Solarweb’s licenseme tool, which is designed to remove the complexity from the process of generating software license quotes.

The tool will enable WStore’s account handlers to produce a detailed software license quotation for a customer, while allowing customers to create quotes and order their Microsoft licenses quickly online.

The partnership will be extended to deliver similar functionality to other software vendors carried by WStore.

John Gorton, WStore divisional manager, said: "We recognise the importance of ongoing investment in the right tools and technology to help our account handlers to continue to deliver excellence.

“Solarweb have impeccable credentials and we've entered into this agreement with them as part of our investment in the continuing development of the WStore online offering."

Adrian Cull, Solarweb managing director, said: “Solarweb has executed an exciting and valued next step on the licenseme roadmap. We're delivering sustained improvements to the software licensing process and our service can now connect directly with the end customer.”
