Kaviza eyes up UK channel partners
Virtual desktop specialist wants a dozen resellers on board by the end of the next quarter
Goswani wants to have at least a dozen resellers on board by the end of the next quarter
Virtual desktop specialist Kaviza is on the hunt for UK resellers as it pushes ahead with its European expansion plans.
The US-based vendor wants to recruit at least a dozen resellers by the end of the next financial quarter following the launch of its first UK market offering, VDI-in-a-box.
Kumar Goswami, chief executive of Kaviza, said the firm already has four UK resellers on board and would be relying on its distribution partner CDG to recruit the rest.
Goswami said: "CDG is renowned for being a pioneer when it comes to virtualisation and will have a key role in the recruitment and training of our UK reseller community."
Oren Taylor, sales director at CDG UK, said the firm was already taking steps to sign up resellers, but the recruitment drive would not start properly until the New Year.
"Not many companies will be making these kinds of decisions until Christmas is out of the way," explained Taylor.
"But, once the New Year arrives, I anticipate that we will see many more potential partners taking an interest in Kaviza and its offering, and signing up."
Virtualisation specialist ITopia Consulting was one of the first resellers in the UK to become a Kaviza partner.
The firm’s chief executive Andy Larkham said he is fairly confident that Kaviza will have no problem in meeting its recruitment objectives.
"I do not think it will be hard to achieve, especially when you consider the appetite in the UK for desktop virtualisation products," explained Larkham.
"It was such a no-brainer for us, especially when you consider what the product is offering and also at what price."
