ShoreTel signs third distributor

Networking vendor looks to boost its presence in the wireless IP communication market

IP vendor ShoreTel has inked its third distribution agreement with Selcoms since it moved to a two-tier model (CRN, 16 October).

ShoreTel has distribution deals with Arc Technology and The Chewton Group, and has signed Selcoms to extend its presence in the wireless IP communication market.
Geoff Gudgion, EMEA managing director at ShoreTel, said: “ShoreTel is constantly growing its channel, looking for opportunities in the right markets. A wireless integrator was the next logical step in the expansion chain, as demand for converged voice and data services over a wireless network grows. We are extremely excited about where this partnership is going to take both companies as we work together.

Rob Mortimer, sales and marketing director at Selcoms, said, “We are tremendously excited to be adding ShoreTel’s IP PBX range to our wireless portfolio. Having the capability to deliver true voice and data mobility solutions to the market through our integration partners is a giant step forward in our value add distribution model.

"Voice delivery over an IP infrastructure is an important element in the drive towards WiFi and WiMAX revenue streams, cost reductions and a sustainable business case for operators, and public and private enterprise in the future,” added Mortimer.
