Sealing the deal: HP partners will now be able to supply printers to the public sector
HP resellers will battle it out this to supply the public sector with printers this autumn after the vendor inked a deal with procurement body OGCbuying.solutions.
The deal runs until the end of October and aims to allow public sector bodies to benefit from discounts of up to 50 per cent on a range of printing devices. All the products covered by the deal meet the European Commission Energy Star requirements as well as the DEFRA 2008 Quick Wins mandatory specifications.
A select band of HP VARs that feature on the OGCbuying.solutions IT Goods and Associated Services framework agreement will be eligible to tender for contracts. OGCbuying.solutions indicated the resellers would be offering differing prices to encourage healthy competition.
Eligible resellers include Centerprise, Computacenter, DSGi Business, European Electronique, Fujitsu Services, Insight Direct, Misco, Probrand, Specialist Computer Centre and XMA.
David Parker, IT category manager from OGCbuying.solutions: “This is an exceptional deal for our customers. We have worked hard with HP and its channel partners to ensure it delivers cash savings. It hits all the right buttons in terms of cash savings and green technology issues.”
